Similan Islands are the best known archipelago in the Andaman Sea and counted among the 10 most interesting dive sites in the world.

"Sembilan" means "nine" in Malay language and The Similan National Park consists of nine islands named Koh Tachai, Koh Bon, Koh Bangu, Koh Similan, Koh Payu, Koh Hok, Koh Ha, Koh Miang, Koh Payan, Koh Payang and Koh Huyong. The Similan National Park which is scheduled to become a UNESCO World Heritage Site is closed from May to November because of monsoon. There are calm weather and clear water from November to May.

Day trip to Similan Islands is a favourite destination for yachts and tour boats from Phuket, but 30 years ago, Similans were known just to a some sailors and divers. Similan Islands have beautiful coral walls, huge rocks, untouched beaches with white sand and plenty of shallows for snorkelling.

You can make day or overnight to Similans which are held daily. The best way to explore Similan Islands is to get 3 Days eco-trip with accommodation in a tent or bungalow with fan or with air-condition.
